Chaos Happens

I started this page a while ago, with the intention to use this blog to share my story and help other people that have been through abusive cycles like me. As you can see I haven’t posted very much or often.

Well, here is why, my life pretty much imploded!! I mean seriously, it was one major chaotic event after another. I wasn’t even sure somedays if I was strong enough to get through this shitstorm! But here I am to tell you more !!

I manage a campground that used to have a large bar area, the entire building was hit by a microburst. The storm clouds were coming in, and I was outside taking pictures because I love to photograph the ever changing sky. I went inside to make sure my kiddos were not close to any windows, we felt the house rock and pictures fell off the walls, then it was quiet for a few minutes before we started hearing things hitting the house. At this point I was practically laying my kids and praying we would still have a home when this was over. The rain was so heavy that, when I finally looked out the door to see if the campers were ok, I couldn’t see anything at all, of course I started praying that the guests were all safe and unharmed. Even though it was still raining for quite sometime, we went outside to make sure people were ok , and our building was just everywhere !! I mean it went clear across our home and yard, across the road and it felt like it was just gonna be all over the place. Cleaning up a 105 foot metal Pole Barn after it has been blown apart by 100MPH wind is a time consuming project at best.

I truly wish that was all we had to deal with at the time, but of course that wouldn’t be all that much, so the universe decided to make life even more interesting. My dad ended up having to have emergency surgery on his arteries just a few days later! We got through that and Mom was able to be there with him. He came home to rest and recover as we continued to clean up the gigantic mess at the campground!

My mother got sick 9 days after my Dad got home! She was taken to the hospital by ambulance, then transferred to a larger hospital that same night. After a week we were able to visit her, only two people per day. Two weeks into this hospital stay they finally told us that Mom had two types of cancer, both at stage 4.

My Mom didn’t come home, she passed away exactly 6 weeks after we lost the building. Mom kept everything moving in our life, she was always making sure things were going forward and her family was working together to make things good for all of us. It was quite the adjustment not having her here to help get through all the other little storms that seemed to be forming on the edges of our lives.

So let me take me take you through a little time line here, now keep in mind that I have a 7 year old with different needs, recovering from a major surgery on my right shoulder(yes I am right handed), I also have a 9 year old that is very caring and sensitive to people hurting, my mother in law has breast cancer, I am her support person and take her to her treatments along with just being there. My daughter got married, we lost our building, my dad had surgery, my mom passed away, we had a funeral, started distance learning at home, all the while running a busy campground and taking care of all the stuff that comes with losing a parent!!

When you decide to take a serious initiative to change your life and do something new, the universe is gonna throw you some major curve balls!!! You are gonna be tested !!! We just take things moment by moment, throughout each day and stay focused on the positive things!!! This is how we get through the Chaos that happens, because its gonna happen! But we are stronger then the storms that try to throw us off.

I truly plan to write more and to show up in my own life!! If you aren’t living this life, you are only existing, get out there and LIVE

Love and Light
