Let’s just add a new puppy

So we came across the opportunity to get the perfect mixed breed puppy, we had been researching and looking for a service dog, for our youngest daughter.

So amongst all the chaos that is our summer , we choose a cute male pup from a local little of German Shepard / Pitbull puppies. Great dogs !! Smart, loyal, protective of their family! So knowing our child will always be small statured, our goal was to have a companion that could reach light switches and such.

The baby we chose was somehow injured and would not heal properly, the vet said he would struggle and not make a good service dog. So the people offered us two puppies instead of the one we chose. Our oldest daughter ( she is married now) had been wanting a puppy to bond with to help her with depression, so we came home with two puppies , two five week old puppies!!! Momma dog was not making enough milk.

So now on top of all our chaos, and visit to the hospital, cancer center trips, I am feeding two tiny puppies !! We kept the male puppy and the female ( Indigo) stayed with us for 2 weeks before moving to my daughters !!

Jack Frost is what this male pup has been dubbed. He has since then started training as a well mannered service dog. Indy girl gets to come and visit her brother on a regular basis. And both these pups are part of our crazy family now !!

I am doing the basic training of this giant puppy! He now weighs 25 pounds at 13 weeks old. He does know basic commands. I took him out to a busy, noisy, public place last week . He did very very well with not being distracted, as long as he has his harness on!! So we will continue to train him for the basic stuff and he will bond with his new family as we move forward.

Life is chaotic , at all times, you just have to focus on the good stuff, weed through the rough stuff, and find the love in your heart. Let that love guide you ! Let the best part of every single day help you heal deep in your soul! Find a reason to smile and focus on that!! Take on new challenges in the middle of the chaos , trust me it’s worth it in the end ! Jack Frost gave me something good to focus on and he and his sister, they were the good we all needed to bring out some much needed smiles !!!

Healing takes time, weather you are still healing past trauma, or healing through a new one. Healing takes time. And it’s OK to be a little broken! Just make sure you don’t get stuck being broken!!

Love and Light
